From ancient artifacts to the decorative arts, whimsical glass designs to traditional oil paintings, the Columbia Museum of Art offers visitors the chance to take a cultural trip that ranges across continents and centuries. Start with Hellenistic marble sculpture and work your way forward in time past portraiture, period furnishings, landscapes, elegantly wrought water kettles and Impressionism to more contemporary works from the likes of Jasper Johns and Robert Motherwell as you take in this well-rounded fine art facility. Lectures and films are offered regularly, consult the events calendar for information.
