Description
The trailhead is on the left of the bulletin board near the entrance to the parking area. Follow this moderately steep .2-mile trail down a rocky slope through a lush green forest in intermingled with rhododendron. Descent steep steps to the river's edge where rushing water fills a cool mountain pool. You may see birds, deer, snakes, and other wildlife.

Camping: Primitive camping is allowed, but campsites must be greater than 50 feet from streams and trails, and greater than ¼ mile from roads.
Safety: Woodall Shoals is a dangerous hydraulic. Since 1970, seven people have drowned there. The trail may be slippery in wet weather.
