Though the beach and long sunny days may be visitors' primary focus while vacationing at Hilton Head Island, the Coastal Discovery Center (or the Museum of Hilton Head Island) offers a variety of educational exhibits and a range of specialized tours and cruises perfect for a change of pace. Though musuem exhibits are good for a brief introduction to island life, the best way to get to know this coastal destination is on a guided walk at Honey Horn, a history tour or at one of the terrace talks at Honey Horn.
