Description
Greenville County Museum of Art may be modest in size but it counts as part of its permanent collection a large number of paintings (34) by American realist, Andrew Wyeth, as well as a range of works spanning the last centuries of American settlement, with a particular emphasis on works by Southern artists or with "Southern" themes. Look for 18th-century portraits and history paintings as you journey up to the present via Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art and noted American names like Georgia O'Keefe, Jasper Johns and Edward Hopper.
