Many visitors begin their trip at Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area which offers camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing, and boating. For those not wishing to enter the recreation area, an alternate route has been established. Access is on FS Road 640, just south of the Lick Fork Lake entrance.
